Pisa is an Italian city in Tuscany known above all for the famous leaning tower. Already off axis when it was completed in 1372, the 56 m high white marble cylinder is none other than the bell tower of the marble Romanesque cathedral that stands nearby, in Piazza dei Miracoli. The same square is home to the monumental Camposanto and the Baptistery, where non-professional singers test themselves every day with its famous acoustics.
Among the most important monuments of the city there is the famous Piazza del Duomo, known as Piazza dei Miracoli, declared a World Heritage Site, with the Cathedral built between 1063 and 1118 in Pisan Romanesque style and the Leaning Tower, bell tower of the 12th century, today one of the best known Italian monuments in the world due to its characteristic inclination, the Baptistery and the monumental Cemetery.
